Measurement Guide
A perfect fit starts with a perfect measurement. Follow our studio standards to ensure your custom window treatments arrive ready to hang.
The Golden Rule
Always use a metal measuring tape. Fabric tapes can stretch over time, and even a 1/16" difference matters in a custom build. Measure in three places and always provide the smallest width and the longest height.

Inside Mount
The shade is mounted inside the window frame. This provides the cleanest architectural look. Ensure your window depth is at least 2.5" for a perfectly flush fit.
Width
Measure the inside width in 3 places (top, middle, bottom). Record the smallest measurement.
Height
Measure the inside height in 3 places (left, middle, right). Record the longest measurement.

Outside Mount
The shade is mounted on the wall or trim above the window. Ideal for hiding unattractive frames or providing maximum blackout coverage.
Width
Measure the width of the area you want to cover. We recommend adding 2" to each side for proper coverage.
Height
Measure the height of the area you want to cover, including the space needed above the window for the headrail.
